My name is Robin Byrd, and I’ve been with State Farm since 1985—over 40 years now!
I got started right out of college after graduating from LaRoche College, now LaRoche University in Pittsburgh, PA, with a degree in Administration and Management. What drew me in was the opportunity to run my own business, make my own schedule, and most importantly, help people understand that protecting what matters isn’t a matter of if something happens, but when.
I grew up on the North Side of Pittsburgh, and after starting my career there, I moved my office to Ross Township, where I’ve built my business and raised my family.
Today, you’ll find my office conveniently located on Babcock Blvd., between Siebert Road and Three Degree Rd.—a spot many of my customers appreciate, especially those who prefer to avoid the traffic on McKnight Rd.
I proudly serve communities throughout Ross, McCandless, Allison Park, Hampton, Franklin Park, the North Side, and Reserve Township, and I’m licensed to help customers anywhere in Pennsylvania.
Over the years, my agency has truly become a family business. My oldest daughter worked alongside me for 14 years, and while we lost her in 2018, her impact is still felt every day. My youngest daughter also spent several years in the office, and now my grandson has been part of the team for the past three years. We also have a diverse and experienced team, including a Vietnamese-speaking team member and a retired State Farm agent who works with us part-time, so we’re able to support customers in both English and Vietnamese.
I’ve always believed in being honest and straightforward. I don’t push coverage people don’t understand, and I don’t cut corners just to make a sale. My job is to explain your options clearly—whether it’s Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, or Life Insurance—so you can make informed decisions about protecting your family, your belongings, and your future. When something does go wrong, I want you to feel confident that you were properly prepared.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time in my yard planting flowers and working on my vegetable garden. I’m a lifelong, Home Town Football Fan - I love football and I’ll get into baseball and hockey when playoff time rolls around. These days, my great-granddaughter keeps me just as busy as work does, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
If you’re in the Ross Township or greater Pittsburgh area and want straightforward guidance and a team that truly puts your needs first, stop by, give us a call, or send a text—I’d be happy to help you get started.
